Neuschwanstein Castle 🏰

Neuschwanstein Castle, nestled in the Bavarian Alps of Germany, is a fairy tale fortress built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The castle's construction started in 1869 and it was Ludwig's personal retreat, inspired by medieval romance and the operas of Richard Wagner. The king died before the castle's completion.

The castle is surrounded by forests and the Hohenschwangau Valley, in the stunning Bavarian Alps, and with views to the Alpsee Lake. The combination of the castle's enchanting architecture and its natural surroundings make Neuschwanstein Castle one of the most visited and photographed castles in the world.
